Nicky & I’s definite favourite area for both food and drink is Humber Street, which is 0.6 miles away from The Sawmill and easily walkable. Its situated on the marina and so is a lovely location visually. All the following are located in this area:
Breakfast: Nibble https://www.facebook.com/nibblehull/
Lunch: thievingharrys.co.uk
Lunch & Dinner: Butler Whites is our all time favourite: https://butlerwhites.com (again you must book to avoid disappointment) this is a bistro type with a range of all types of food, great portions and a touch quirky.
Fish: http://www.humberfishco.co.uk
Steak: https://steak1884.com
Great pub grub/Sunday lunches: The Minerva, a quirky historic pub, in fact i think this might be the oldest if not one of the oldest pubs in Hull): http://minerva-hull.co.uk
Drinks: The Humber Distillery Company (HDC) http://hsdc.co.uk and The Minerva pub https://minerva-hull.co.uk are our favourites. (Id recommend booking a table online at HDC either prior or post meal for at least an hour as the drinks list is great and extensive. Always book though as there will be a queue otherwise and you may not get a table.
All these places are next to or close together and most will serve just drinks too, so of course you could sample a few along the way.
One other place I have to mention is a really old pub in the heart of Hulls old town, Ye Olde White Hart on Whitefriargate. Its just a really cool building, hidden away a with huge fires and real ales: https://whiteharthullpub.co.uk
There are stacks of other options and so if you need other specific recommendations, we are happy to help!
